EPP is a processing method—not a fourth arrival lane.
CBP describes Enhanced Passenger Processing as a contactless, pre-primary process for U.S. citizens at participating locations. Availability and routing can change, and official CBP information controls.
Who it serves
Currently described for U.S. citizens
Do not select EPP for a lawful permanent resident or international visitor. ArrivalWise keeps U.S. citizen and Green Card traveler types separate so it does not give the wrong eligibility guidance.
How it works
Photo capture and automated checks
- Join the U.S.-citizen arrival flow when directed
- An auto-capture camera may collect a facial image
- CBP checks identity, citizenship and vetting information
- If the process cannot complete, the traveler proceeds to standard inspection
Comparison
EPP is not guaranteed to be faster than Global Entry
